Objective: Adding and subtracting whole numbers.

Activity: Station games.
Stations depicting real life choices one has to make in future.

Kids start off with a RM 10,000 loan needed to be signed by the teacher aka me. ^^

Station 1: Pick what kind of room you want to rent

the fanciest one I can think of and draw

Station 2: What kind of course in uni do you want to enroll in?

Station 3: CAR SALE

Station 4: Personal expenditure, you want an "ATAS" lifestyle

Last station: Show me how much you used and saved up

I did it under a very controlled environment, by not giving them a choice to choose which lifestyle.
We started with the cheapest lifestyle then the fanciest.
Then 2 and 3.
Worked well, especially for students who can subtract quickly. There was music while they did their calculations as well!!
Hmmm... If I prepared more, they could have chosen their own "life expenditures" too.
However, as in reality for now, I will have to choose for them.
No worries, I'll build them up well to be able to make their own choices soon. ^^

p/s: Music in class is just so must-have that this used-to-be-really-rowdy class can actually stay silent for 10 minutes straight!
I also did a "show me your answers by just a show of fingers to indicate the number you got from your calc"(so they don't have to speak and I can continuously countdown the time to the arrival of Music)

Music saves the day!

Never underestimate the power of blasting instrumental music in class.
I thought the kids would not buy it. Instrumental music sounds lame and old-style... Or so I thought they would think.
But guess what?! Miracle happened!
I requested 5 minutes of silence before I can allow music into the class.
We did subtracting using our own fingers. They had to stay silent but showed me they got the correct number when I checked how many fingers are closed or opened.
It was kinda cute, cos I stayed kinda silent too, only nodding and putting a thumbs-up sign if they were correct.
Amazing effect!!! They were learning too! I might missed out a few but most of them got it while I walked around the class checking their fingers.
Then, I requested them to copy the questions on the board and try to finish it silently while the music is being played. Music ON!

Students in class continued staying silent and putting effort in answering the questions given. I went around checking and marking their answers as they answered. They raised hands to ask for help and they whispered their inquiries to me when I stood next to them. AWESOME!!!
FYI, they were the most overly-active kids in the whole form! FTW!! FTK!!!

However, I released them too early, confused by the school schedule. One of my kids went and disturbed the next class and caused a HUGE scene!!! My bad~ so sorry~ ='(
Note to self: Must prep extra questions for seriously fast-learners!! and get blasting speakers...

My fellow friend, Dipesh has started house visits, and it seems to help.
Students want to know that you care. And they need you to show it.
It takes effort, not easy, but not impossible.
I befriended my 2 girls from class already, by making 1 house visit.
Got to know her a little better and the girl and her classmate, who is also my student, brought me to the night market, became my "tour guide" and even helped me picked fresh veges cos the girl I visited has parents that work in the market nearby.
Another girl I visited showed me a loving side compared to what she has been acting like in school and what all the other teachers have said about her.
There are stories behind all those faces, and I want to be in their stories too, be it harsh or happy.
I hope they understand that I mean business and their future is my business, even for awhile...

Life has been hectic and swell at the same time.

I'm blogging in the midst of planning lessons for tomorrow.

My kids deserve a lot more than I am giving, and I will better myself day by day.

Tomorrow will be my first real lesson in Maths.

Diagnostics will be marked as soon as I am free, but lessons come first.

I'm not sure if I am just cheating myself so that I don't stress out, but my 2UPM kids are doing better by the day.

The number of listeners I get in my class now is more compared to my first week.

One use-to-be-rowdy kid actually nudged his friend to not be disrespectful (kurang ajar) cos the teacher is in front. AAAWWW... *melts* he got teased a little by his friends when I thanked and complimented him for that.

When I see progress in culture, I will see progress in learning. Right?

I trust that they do want to do well, and my pep talk seem to work. Hope it works for all my other classes as well.

I am a teacher now. My focus should be on my school students.
But what if I know of a child who has not have the privilege to education since kindergarten?

Life has been hectic. Moving house, buying stuff to fill the house, preparing for school, new admin work, balancing work and personal well-being.
My students deserve the best, and I have not been giving them much.
Need to buck up asap!
But now that I know of him, plans need a slight change. Maybe not change, but an additional plan need to be added in between.

More to be done.
Hang on tight, Juin. It's gonna be a long and bumpy ride!

This is one random year I got to do this, don't know when else I can sing loudly in public with friends anymore after this. One memorable moment I'll never forget!

Kem SKORlah has ended.
To all my kids, what we may have taught you in Kem SKORlah is very little compared to how much you can learn. Teachers may be wrong too, sometimes, so always keep your minds open!
I personally hope what you got from my classes is not only locus and circles, but a different way of learning.
Keep asking the how and whys in life, it is sooo interesting to find out about stuff around you!!! Even if there is no answer here, ask again there, ask ask everywhere!!
I hope you realize how great each and everyone of you are on the inside. All the potentials yet unleashed, all the curiosity untapped, all the wonders yet to be discovered inside of you.
All subjects can be fun, if the teachers are not providing you with fun, make some on your own. You can do it in your co-curricular activities, if not in class. Apply what you know and share it with others.
Tears of farewell are finite, but hopefully what you took away was infinite.
I have seen each of you change and grow, and I am very proud to have been with you for Kem SKORlah.
May our paths meet again someday, and I wish then what I see and hear from you is AWESOME, FANTASTIC and BRILLIANT news!

The AMAZING MATH RACE

Today, to end the week of lessons, we had an AMAZING MATH RACE between A2, my class, and A4, my fellow friends' class.

Kugahn, Joon Kee, Sharon and I have been teaching lessons in class A2. Joon Kee and Sharon (who will be with me in my future school) have been teaching English, while Kugahn and I have been teaching Maths.

The students are an awesome bunch, if only they had more confidence in themselves and participate more in class, we all could have so much more fun while learning! Anyway, they are a great bunch!

Back to the topic. Today we had this AMAZING MATH RACE between 2 classes. 4 teams from each class will compete against one another in 4 different stations: The PMR Question Station, The Construction Station, The Second Chance Station and The FUN FUN FUN Station. It is all about Form 2, Chapter 9, LOCUS.

And for your information, I have 3 Students from Peralihan, which is the Reform students.

Teaming the students up with a mix of stronger kids and weaker kids so that they will help each other out, I am very proud to say that my kids did great!

AND GUESS WHAT???

Between A2 and A4, the winner of the AMAZING MATH RACE 2011 in SMK Ampang Pecah goes to....

My students earned top 3 in 8 teams competing!!!

There is no English words I can think of to describe how I feel about my students achievements. AWESOME is an understatement.

These kids have potential, mass potential, and it is really heartwarming to see them grow.

By the way, the picture above shows the chart of (hopefully they were honest about this) how happy our students are with our lessons for today! 5 bars of happiness!!!

*hmmm... I wonder why Wai Loon did not grade us a 5.*

Well, I may be lacking loads of sleep if compared to the looong hours sleep I usually have at home, but somehow, their happy signals made every hour of sleep I lack so worthwhile...

P/S: I'm going to nap now......

I love how the ideas come flowing when I'm thinking of ways to teach a certain lesson or objective to my students.
I love it when students actually get a concept and answer correctly.
I love how students come to you with smiles, treating you like a friend and be open about themselves.
I love how students actually tell you that they FINALLY understood a lesson, although they might have been taught the lesson before.
I love how my student told me she wanted more bars on her Happy Signal because 5 bars is not enough to express how happy she feels!
I super love the warm and fuzzy feeling when students can proudly tell everyone else what they learnt in class and why they enjoy coming to class!!!

But... I hate it when time seems to pass sooo quickly I cant seem to deliver my ideas well to my students.
Today, I am expected to teach the concept of locus of a straight line and locus equidistant of 2 intersecting lines. I asked them all to fold a paper plane each, and later noticing how the lines are parallel to make the wings equally sized and how the lines half the angles of certain folding, to show equidistant of 2 intersecting lines. However, I did not get to explain every lines on the paper plane but quickly rushed through it. The paper plane impact is not there, I think. *FAIL*

However, on the bright side, not to sound evil or crazy, I like FAILURES, even in my students' result (of course I'd LOVE if they succeed), becauuussseee THERE IS MORE SPACE FOR IMPROVEMENT!

I shall learn with every fall, and stand again, stronger and tougher.
There is much to be done.

Baby step to becoming a teacher

Teach For Malaysia (TFM) Training/Institute has been on for 2 weeks.
I may or may not have mentioned this, but I am very honoured to be on board as a TFM fellow and contributing towards the education sector in my beloved country.
I'm very amazed and surprised, with myself and all 49 other fellows and the TFM staffs for still being able to maintain smiles and laughter.
Kem SKORlah will be happening in 2 days time, on this coming Monday.
Here we are, on a Saturday, photocopying diagnostic test papers, catching up on lesson plans, classroom culture management plans, preparing colourful charts and diagrams to kick off and boost the excitement of the students who missed their holidays for this camp.
Here I am, drawing cute lil graphics and diagrams on my mini assessment for my students.
Work will continue tomorrow, a Sunday. But I can ensure you, although there may be butterflies, dragonflies, beetles and bugs in my tummies, I shall still go on with a smile.

Salute to everyone in TFM for being so energetic all the time and feeding my drive to walk down this path together.

I finally cried my heart out, after holding it in for 3 days.
My purpose of joining TFM has always been vague.
I had not planned on my future and TFM was an "off-the-shelf" 2-year plan for me.
I did not have to worry about what to do in 2 years time.
I came in partly because I had this lazy thought in my mind.
I was not sure about what to do for Masters.
So TFM seems like an instant solution.

TFM came like a calling, it sounded definite, reliable, and of course noble.
I have been back and forth with nothing in mind and this sounded secure and stable, at least for 2 years.
Somehow, power of thought, I had a feeling I'd get this. Applying nothing else but TFM, yet unsure of why I did it, I still knew I'd get in.
I came to the Institute, unprepared, not finishing my Pre-reading pack, which I ought to have read through to begin my 'journey'.
Small, I felt, for many came from overseas, speaking absolutely fluent English, some even with accents (no judgement there)!
Everyone seemed so cool and big (not in size). Everyone looked so sure about themselves doing this.
Everyone else seemed to have read up stuff and prepared to embark on this path.
I was everything but all that...

I came in, open to everything they can offer me, for I had nothing to begin with.
My passion was not solid when I came in. I had doubts...
Some way or another, something called to me, and knowing I had accepted it,
even after being forewarned about the what-maybe-the-worst-2-years-of-your-life, I had to come.
It would be terrible, morally, not to go on.
I came here, soften by the thought of so many people supporting me, physically, intellectually, mentally and emotionally.
My passion and drive were the two main things I came to look for here.
Both of this needs to be solidified and filled, for this will be one hell of a ride.

It has only been 3 days, and I have been humbled to my knees.
3 days have made me grown so much.
What I have seen, learnt and experienced here moved me like no 23-years of life experience can.
I thought I was brought up well, filled with values and character.
I came to realize all that values were nothing without me putting it to good use.
This Institute and TFM helped me channel those values out.
I gained my self-worth, I saw my value, all the I-am-small feelings faded and I focus on the value that I have, however tiny it may be.
I can work on that! And I will...

I saw a bluish white light streak across the sky about 5 storeys high up from the ground. It then disappeared in mid-air. It was about 9.45pm, just now, before turning into my housing area.
Curious case.
It can't be a plane, it was too fast and too low.
It can't be fireworks, it didn't pop or anything. It didn't slowly flickered and died off, it just disappeared!
It cant be a comet, it did not fully streak pass into the horizon or is this possible for a comet?
Can it be something unworldly? Roommie said it is a 'polong'.
It will disappear if someone sees it. So I just saved a life. hmmm... whoever it is, you're welcome.

朋友的反应，一半都不怎么赞成，但总觉得我们会不一样。
我一向来都觉得纠纷是两方造成的。
是个误会吧。
我并非有任何期望或想像任何浪漫事情，但我也没想像我表达的感情在大众摆出来。
原来自己以为开放了的感觉只是对自己开放，而不是在大众面前开放。
好朋友要拖朋友下水，也应该一起在水里了吧！
我当初不承认的其中一个理由就是不想有这种尴尬的情况。
报应吧。重复了历史。。。
我无法转脑经那么快，也是好事。反应大了，可能连朋友都没得当。
总是想身边的人都跟我一样的想法，原来好朋友也会不心灵相同，没有默契。
要开始反省了，不是每个人都能很有默契的猜的出我的思想。

我珍惜我每一个培养出的友情。

I may have flipped the page, not knowing how the book ends yet, but I wept anyway.

I harvested rambutans straight from the trees. Dad weighted down the branch and I snipped the fruits right from their twigs!
I climbed a coconut tree which is 2 floors high (without ladder!!) and chopped down a branch of coconuts.
Opened coconuts for the coconut drink, which tasted super awesomely isotonic and sweet after sweating like a pig while harvesting the rambutans.
I drove my dad's Pajero on the way back from Kelantan (4WD doesn't feel much different from normal car but I never dared myself to drive it before)
Sold rambutans the next day cos we harvested seriously LOADS of them. You'll see from the pictures below.

TVXQ - the best boy group ever!!
Their voices are distinctive in their own special ways and yet able to harmonize together into one.
Till now, none have been able to replace them or emulate what they did or achieved.

Laws of attraction do work! It took a while, but I got what I knew would come to me. An offer.
I may not know what the future holds, but I do know what I decide now will determine the path of my future.
Teaching was never an option for me. But somehow, fate has it that I applied for a teaching program.
I have no idea why, it maybe a sub-conscious calling.
I have been forewarned: "It shall be the toughest 2 years of your life!"
After the congratulatory phone call (which came 3 days later than I expected), to say that I did not hesitate and reconsider will be a big lie.
However, I had put on hold what my mom considered a dream unfulfilled for her which is to be carried on by me- a Masters degree, when I first applied this. Something whispers that I will get this, there will be no need to try anything else. Even if I don't get it, every other application can be done later.
It boggles my mind why I applied this, even up til now.
After some logically nonsensical analysis, my parents may again be a BIG part of the reason. Knowing that if I can't pull through the 2 years, they will push me on (not that I wish so).
Anyway, I would have joined Unicef or UNHCR or some world life-changing volunteering program if this program didn't pop right in my face (or ear, cos I got a phone call).
Anyway, a treacherous journey it shall be, and I shall still follow the wind and set sail out to the unmerciful sea and have a whale of an adventure.

My name, Juin, came from my mom, who got the idea from the month I was born in - June.
This year, 2011 - I had loads of surprises even though I was mostly working as an intern on my so-called special day.
However, birthdays can be celebrated as belated birthdays and is still as special.

Reporting on one of the most common sight in Malaysia:
Where the sign says NO, and right under the sign will be whatever the sign says NO to.

Sorry but here I have for now only one picture of the example. (will try get more asap, this is an interesting subject anyway!)
Here it is:

The red sign says:
PERINGATAN: Dilarang membuang sampah dan menjaja di kawasan ini.(Tanah Persendirian)
(translated to English):
REMINDER: Littering and hawkers are prohibited in this area (Private Property)

And look what is around it?!

Not an unusual sight in Malaysia, where red light at the traffic can still mean green, or no parking sign means it is a challenge or dare for you to park there and only the brave does it, or when the sign says DO NOT LITTER, and right under the sign is a dumping ground.

I have a few assumptions for this ironic situation:

1. The sign will give ideas to do whatever the signs says not to do because without the sign, people won't think of doing it in the first place.

2. People here take it as a challenge to see how strictly our law is enforced.

3. Signs are put up in the most convenient place for prohibited actions to be done (say like parking areas) but yet the municipal council just love to torture the rakyat and get them to pay up summonses when caught doing the prohibited actions, it was one of the ways government earn, you see.

4. People have no choice but to do the prohibited thing because it is the most convenient place to do so but the sign is just eff-ing annoying!

5. All of the above. It is just a Malaysian thing.

p/s: this post is not meant to offend anyone, because I am guilty in the same Malaysian way too~ LOL

They diligently sweep the floors or roads, they clean nearly any surface that needs cleaning, they mop, vacuum, wipe, and disinfect. They make sure you are comfortable with your environment, be it the office, housing area or even roadside. They pick up after those litterbugs who ooopps-i-drop-my-rubbish-but-pretend-i-didn't-then-realize-my-rubbish-magically-disappeared! Without them, we might all be walking in landfills by now, especially in Malaysia, i personally think!

I do, at least, even if I don't say it out loud, I smile~ FYI, most of them smile back! Some even greet me first!

After being blasted with Britney, Xtina, Rihanna n Lady Gaga... music now hasn't felt the same, for me.
Hardly any innocent, non-swearing, non-vulgar, non-violence type of song, or music video.
I nearly lost hope, watching videos of signs and symbols in videos that doesn't make sense yet bringing intimidating vibes. Songs with mind-boggling, brain-smashing lyrics, some with grammar that even make a 2-year-old disappointed. Love songs that don't potray much love at all~ No fairy tale love songs, no more singing in the rain, no more 'all kinds of everything reminds me of you'... I started missing the 70s, 80s, 90s songs, started listening to some...
Then there's Bruno Mars, Owl City, Taylor Swift... phew!
I found clean and healthy videos online too!!
Wongfu Production has shown me that there is still hope out there.

I haven't really stated anything about my internship, have i?
Anyway, internet access is limited, hence the delay.
Work has been fine... I enjoyed my first 2 tasks actually, doing translation from Chi to Eng.
It is kinda exhilarating when my article gets posted online by someone else other than me.

No more priviledges~

Officially finished up all my theoritical subjects as an undergraduate.
Now, in a new room, with a new roommate, awaiting my first day as an intern.
Was enthusiatic enough to wake up at 7.15am to try out the bus and get a hang of the bus number and routes here.
Not very successful, but I also found at that I can drive to work and park in Giant for free!
That saves lotsa trouble cos the busstop we had to go to this morning was like 15min walk through a path of stones and continued onto a dirt road.
Today was a tryout, but I cant imagine walking through all that for 30min to and fro every weekdays in my working attire.

It is slowly dawning on me that I do not have the priviledges and comfort of my college and university anymore.
No more roommates and friends staying around me, no more late night yumcha or chilling til daylight dawns.
No more I-choose-to-skip-class/lab-today chances, no more spontaneous meet-ups, ok... rephrase, a lot less...
Internet is soooo snail-pace that I had to write this in a NotePad and save my thoughts until I can for a proper internet connection to post this!
Another thing that I was sure of was: I CANT LIVE WITHOUT A WASHING MACHINE!!!

If I ever own a house of my own, among my first electronical appliances is you-know-what,
let's say it together: A WASHING MACHINE!!!
Had a good laugh with my friend on that~!

Still absorbing the environment and adapting to my new 'home' for the coming 2 months.
Already missing uni-life alot! Especially the company I had that made uni so memorable and hard to let go.
I mentioned this to my coursemates before, the only regret I had was not getting a camera earlier to record all these wonderful faces and awesome adventures I had.

Loads have happened from the first day I came into University up till now.
High times can go up as high as the peak of mountains, lowest to the bottom of a pool.
Aaahh... memories...
What more can one ask for...
Most of everyone came in to find love, others to get theirs hands on a paper they-think-will-bring-them-4-figure-salary-or-more, some to lead and to learn, some just to getaway from working-so-early-in-life phase.
I chose to be in betweens... greedy as I am, I think I had it all!

It has been a long journey, through very new area...

Road has been there, always. It is I who have held my journey back.
I believe I could have done more, but I did not...
Note to self: procrastination is not to be brought into the working world.
But then again, my productivity do increase nearing deadlines... i wonder if that is a good thing?
Commented by few friends that I seem to be more spirited and motivated in my academics this semester.
That too left me wondering why...
Well, at least it is a good thing for sure.

Now, after all the thanks I gave in printed words in my thesis, I have one more 'person' to thank.
Someone important whom I could not have lived without.
He has been persistent, not giving up on me, although worked up as he is, working with me whole day and night. Even with tension rising, this person maintained his cool. There are ups and downs, of course. But it was usually fun to be with each other. Sounds and music are an inborn talent for him. If only he can dance with me.
I have my Papa to thank for bringing us together.
We first knew each other, if I'm not mistaken, 19th December 2009. It has been nearly one and a half year.

C for Chinese. I do not wanna give the wrong impression here. I'm not a racist.
CC or Chinese Community was one of the first organization that gave me a feeling that there are seniors who care about the newbies-who-just-step-into-uni-n-knows-nothing.
CC has been a great platform for me to befriend new and interesting people, learn up lots of skills, get to know new places and most of all, have fun all along the way.
Last night, 31st of March 2011, was our CC Night, which was also (i guess) my last event for CC before I graduate. Awesome party, people!! Great job!

I'm in my final semester now. Final Year Project to be done.
Now, it is starting to dawn to me that my graduation is near, and I should be thinking and deciding on what i really need to do in future.
There have been times I started drifting off in thoughts, considering possibilities of my future.
Recently, I drew strength and hope from dreams and ambitions of close friends. Sounds pathetic...
However, it is great to see friends spilling their dreams and sharing their ideas with you, sounding like a child full of hope and feeling as though everything is possible. Actually, nothing much is impossible, it is just the way you try to get pass obstacles and tackling them in a creative yet practical way.
There are lots of things I'd like to contribute in. However, it also dawns to me that I need to work on myself before I can lead. "Lead with example" is a quote I do believe in.
I miss the times where dreams and imagination flows and put a smile to my face, having faith in them, believing one day I can achieve all those; the times when the 'light bulb' turns on in my head, and ideas keep coming, arranging themselves in a realistic kind of way, feeding you the courage and plans to execute them.
There are much to think about, and much more to do... I want to relive my child-like feeling of 'Anything is possible', in order to gain strength and faith in things now.
Leaving me with one question now: Why can't I just be the child I was? =)

and this is our new pet googie!!

no name yet~ but i suggest 'March' for the month we took her in! ^^

Sis said this lil cutie was suspected to be left by the master. However, noone claimed her. She has been trained to not walk into the house it seems, so her invisible border was to our sliding door... but she seems to not want to walk out of our front gate too, after we took her in. Sis said she tried to coerce her out to the main road by standing opposite the road and calling her, (btw, she accepts whatever name our family are giving her now, sis mentioned: fluffy, kuro and sa zai, = ="), she just ran across the road, gave me sis a lil nudge and ran back onto our porch! GYAAA~ kawaiiiiii!! Sis said she can stand on 2 hind legs too if we snap our fingers twice. She will be one of the reason I have to go home during study week. *wink*

Anyway, talking bout unethical seats and unusual movie watching, randomness overload! I left for movie with my friend, Fit right after dinner with CCC family. Bought front row seats cos' we were late, but opt to not ruin a good movie by sitting illegally and super unethically at the OKU seats! GAAAH!! However, got chased off the seat by a couple whom got legal tickets to d seats( they are very healthy subjects, mind you). Fine! Still, front row seats with me craning my neck to watch my movie, no-no-no. So, next best option, sitting at the stairs, or more accurately, the platform before the flight of stairs or literally, the floor!
Just so you know, the awesome movie was:

Even recommended my dad to watch it. I believe he will love the adventure and survival skills they had.

Back in college, met with Xin Tong, who came back from Jay Chou's concert with Kiky. Had a good chat!
Random outing to McD cos a junior, Alan wanted food. Back in college, another round of short chitchat and now I am here...blogging...
Well, it has been a good night wasted! But then again, time enjoy wasting is not time wasted! *wink*

7. Long talks on the phone with loved ones.
8. Waving at stranger or stranger's children and getting waves and laughters back!
9. Ability to read lips and knowing you read it correctly.
10. The smile from a friend, who was losing faith but gained it back, after talking to me.

I hope what i have seen so far is only temporary. I started doubting myself, but then again, I have never been a good judge in this aspect.
Prologue or epilogue, that is the question.

My so said 'Fantabulous' days ahead just gave me a BANG on the head! literally!
There is a bump on my forehead... which thankfully was hidden by my one-sided fringe.

Done with my predicaments, elections in uni is coming up soon!!
Which also means my term as a rep has officially ended.
We MPMUM 2009/2010 were dismissed in a 'Hari-raya-announcement' style video by VC posted on our uni website.
And again, as years before, the hype of the campus elections is starting to spread all around, even more than the coming Valentine's day excitement. It is still exciting for me, kinda...
However, there are things a-term-as-student-rep has made me disagree upon.
Then again, with this current mentality and spirit, there are certain things that will need a lifetime to change.
I just sincerely hope that the coming board of rep will commit and contribute well to the long-term development of all students in UM and UM herself. May they be wise enough to put capabilities before ideologies.
To all the friends i made and bonds i formed during my term, to all the memories and learning i gained in a term in the council, to all whom have supported me through thick and thin, and to those who have guided me, my sincerest thanks and apologies for everything. It was an AWESOME year (except the part where my academics were affected)!! *SALUTE*

Just 3 days into the new lunar year of the rabbit, catastrophes have already occured.
My laptop just died on me... diagnosis: harddisk crashed. My data? ALL GONE!!!
Fine~ what can I do... learnt my lesson, even with partition, data needs to be backed-up elsewhere!
Family ties are severed... fine... what else can I do...
Gosh, what a start to the wabbit year of 2011!! Everything going off with a 'BANG'! =="
I'm seriously hoping this is the worst it can get and that things will go uphill from here!
May all these be some blessings in disguise and may this year gain good momentum and end in awesomeness for all of us!! Gong Xi Gong Xi!!

what's the point in the beginning?
what's the point thinking at the end?
if i can reverse time, i'd like to reverse it to my first year in my university, no! make that first semester of my 2nd year!
before this path i chose to walk down was opened...

Am I becoming so because I feel I am a whole lot of power? Or am I so due to my sense of responsibility and bad management of it? Or because I just mind what people think of me?

Mom would say: " You always think people are watching you, talking bout you. Think you are so important! Actually noone bothers... They don't have time to think of what you did or did not do la!"

Being contented in life's simple pleasure brings pure feelings of joy and satisfaction.
Mine:
1. Thought of skipping class for event/errand, and the class was cancelled.
2. Smile to a stranger and actually get a smile in return.
3. The smell of things that reminds me of home.
4. The song playing on the car radio ends the same time i turn off my engine.
5. Saying out something at the same moment as a close friend during a conversation.

if pleasing others is what pleases me... cos' most of the time, i'll be in a whirlwind of dilemma.
How do you keep others happy and yourself happy too?
It is bad karma to hurt others, it is bad karma to hurt yourself too. Which weights more, I haven't studied the philosophy that deeply yet. But how do you achieve that state of peace and serenity and contentment?
So hard to please everyone at the same time!!! Frustrated.
It is not really a good head-start for this semester, quote sis: "crappy semester"
